1. Re-enrolment

Year 2012 re-enrolment for existing TJC students begins on 22 August 2011 until 9 September 2011. Kindly fill in the attached blue re-enrolment form and pass it to the class teacher within the specified time period. The 2012 fees structure for returning students is attached to the form.

2. New Enrolment

Priority will be given to siblings of existing TJC students, for year 2012.

Please be informed that the new enrolment for year 2012 will also begin on 22 August 2011 until 9 September 2011. In the event that parents want to enrol the sibling(s) of the existing students, please obtain the pink enrolment forms from our office. 2. TJC Concert

We are excited and look forward to this coming year-end concert ‘Colours of Malaysia’. Kindly note the important details below:-

a). Age 6 children are required to be in the school by 5:30 pm.

b). Age 3 to 5 children are required to come at 5:45 pm.

c). All children are required to come in their costume with full make-up. (lipstick, blusher and eye shadow). Kindly let your child bring a jacket or a cardigan with his/her name labelled on it.

d). Dinner will be provided for the children in Block C & Block D. Parents may proceed to Sport Complex for dinner after sending your child to the respective blocks.

e). Parents may park at Jaya 33 if the parking in Dream Centre is full. Kindly

Re: H1N1, Mid-Year School Holidays, and Parents Teachers Day

1. H1N1

We would like to inform that we have a child in one of our Year 5 classes confirmed with H1N1. This child was down with fever over the last weekend and the parent had consulted two different doctors and both doctors diagnosed the child with normal flu. The fever subsided on Monday but reoccurred only after Tuesday. Therefore the parent consulted a third doctor and the result confirmed to be H1N1 positive. The school has taken precautionary steps by closing down the affected class and three other classes which may have close contact. The classes that are temporary closed from now are Lily, Rose, Violet and Orchid.

2. Mid-Year School Holidays

Mid-year school holidays start from 5th June to 20th June 2010. School resumes as normal on Monday, 21st June 2010.

Date: Tuesday, 1st June 2010 Time: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm Attire: PE attire, shoes, and socks

Please be informed that there will be no stagger hour on outing day. All TJC children and parents who have signed up for this excursion are to be in the school by 8:30 am. Kindly have your child bring along a sling water bottle only. Refreshments will be provided. No school bag and homework pouch are required on that day.

2. Parking and Dismissal on Outing Day

The estimated time for arrival at Dream Centre after the excursion will be around 1:00 pm.

We would like to seek your cooperation to wait in the queue and observe the following instructions:-

Parking lots at Carpark C are for parents who join the outing. Carpark G and Carpark B arereserved for DUMC Staff and visitors.
Remember to display your child’s security card at your car dashboard at all times.
Do not park on the driveway around Dream Centre while waiting.
Dismissal will be done at Block C. You are advised NOT to collect your child directly fromthe bus. Your child will be safely escorted to you in an orderly manner during dismissal time. Parents who join the outing may escort your child to your car from the bus.

Wow! What a sunny day to have a water play session in school with their class mates. This is the time where children come together and have lots of splashing fun water play with their friends. Dear parents,

Re: New School Hours, PE Attire and School Holidays

Greetings from Tadika Juara Cerdik.

Our school has been operating from 8:30 am to 11:45 am for the past few years. This year, the Ministry of Education has made it compulsory for all kindergartens to extend their daily contact hours with children to 4 hours a day. As such, the following changes will be implemented:

1. New School Hours

Effective from Monday, 22nd of March 2010, the new school hours will be as follows:

Age 3 and 4: 8:30 am – 12:00 noon

Age 5 and 6: 8:00 am – 12:00 noon

Due to the extended school hours, extra curricular activities will be introduced into the current curriculum design. The new activities include:

Fun Activity and Playground

This aims to help children develop their gross motor skills such as jumping, crawling, balancing, hopping, following directions and rhythm.

Circle Time

A time when children interact among themselves while they sing (such as nursery rhymes), play (simple games) and storytelling time under the guidance and supervision of a teacher.

Library Time

This is to spend time reading in the school library and also to instill the habit of reading in the child at an early age.

Routine

A time for the teacher to prepare the children before their lessons begin.

Reflections

This is to help the children to recap on the learning that they have done earlier in the day.

We believe that the integration of these additional activities into the current programme will offer a more holistic education for our children. A copy of your child’s timetable is enclosed for your attention. The new timetable will be effective beginning 22nd March 2010.

2. PE Attire

Kindly ensure your child comes to school in PE attire, shoes and socks on the day when PE lesson is on. We are unable to distribute the PE attire any earlier than this due to the change of timetable and school hours.

3. Mid- First Semester School Holidays

The coming school holidays are from 13th March to 21st March 2010. School will resume on Monday, 22nd March 2010, on which the new school hours and new timetable will take effect.

We will try our best to ensure a smooth transition from the current school hours to the new one. In order to do so, your full cooperation is sought. Together, let us make this transition a success.

Chinese New Year 2010 - Super Fun Time

It’s the week before Chinese New Year. We had a super fun time session with the teachers teaching the children about the Chinese culture and manners they have to display during Chinese New Year. There was a skit acted out by the teachers showing a family having a reunion dinner and how glad family members were to come together for a meal. The children had such great fun singing and watching the skit. Check the pictures out and do leave us a comment so that we know that you are enjoying the pictures.

Dear parents,

1. Chinese New Year Holidays

Please be informed that school will be closed from Monday, 15th to Friday, 19th February 2010, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

School will resume on Monday, 22nd February 2010 as normal.

2. Sports Attire and Class Time Table 2010

Sports attire and class time table will be given out by end of this month.

We extend a ‘Happy & Joyous Chinese New Year’ to all who are celebrating this festival.

Age 3 Water play...

The aged 3 children are learning to develop their motor skills by having water play this morning near the school play ground. They learnt how to scoop up water from a tub and to pour the water into plastic bottles. They had so much fun doing so that some of them were reluctant to leave. Check out the pictures here....

ASP 1st lesson of the week

It’s February 1st, the beginning of our school’s ‘After School Programme (ASP)’! During the 1^st week, the children get to know each other from different classes and the teachers also get to know the children. We hope that they will have a fun filled time learning and experiencing lots of new things around them and being able to share them with their parents when they get home. Volvo Road Safety Campaign

The Age 6 children were given a golden opportunity to learn about Road Safety. This Road Safety Campaign was done up by none other than The Volvo Representatives. They came and have a talk with the children last Friday (29 January 2010). The children were taught theories of road safety and 3 things which are “Grab, Pull and Click”. After that, they also did some experiments on eggs inside a fish tank hit by impact an resulted in a Humpty Dumpty effect. There was also practical buckling sessions for the children. A certificate of participation was given to the children after that. Now they are also Volvo Safety Ambassadors! Check out the pictures below:-

2nd week of schooling (2010)

Its the 2^nd week of school for the new students and for the returning students, “Welcome back!” Today, they get to know their new teachers and make some new friends too. Most of the classes have already started lessons while some are still trying to adjust to the new classroom atmosphere and to get to know their new teachers.
