Special Holiday and Update on H1N1

Dear parents,

Re: Special Holiday and Update on H1N1

1. Special Holiday

Date: 18th September 2009, Friday

Our Prime Minister had declared tomorrow as a Special Holiday in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations. Therefore, school will be closed from tomorrow and classes will resume on 24th September 2009, Thursday.

2. Update on H1N1

The child who was earlier admitted for having flu-like symptoms is now confirmed as having H1N1 infection. The child had been treated with Tamiflu and is being quarantined for a week.

Please do not be alarmed as we have received the doctor’s certification that the child has now recovered.

Thank you.

H1N1

Dear parents,

1. H1N1
Please be informed that we have a child (who is 6 years old) who is confirmed to have Influenza A (common flu) infection, but not H1N1 yet. The result will only be out in 2 weeks time. While the identified child is undergoing diagnosis, she and her sibling will be quarantined at home. The parents believe that the child had contracted the flu in a crowded local theme park in Genting over the Merdeka weekend.

In the event of a confirmed H1N1 case, we will promptly inform all parents, and all necessary steps will be taken.

We would like to seek your co-operation in helping us to keep your child away from school and notify the school immediately upon detection of any flu in your child.

Thank You

ASP - Bakery outing (age 5 and 6)

The children from After School Program had a great visit to thyme bakery. They manage to see how the icing of a cake is done and they also get to experience for themselves. They also had a chance to buy their buns from the shop at a given budget from their parents. We hope that those kids that went will post a comment from what you have learn in this outing.
