HFMD Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (Parents Tips)

Hand Foot and Mouth Disease is lurking around and there are cases reported in Petaling Jaya recently. Every year, Kindergartens often get threatened by this disease outbreak after a period of hot season, around month of March and July. Ages 3 to 5 are particularly vulnerable to HFMD. The effect of this disease is rather painful and uncomfortable for the children and can be potentially dangerous. We advise parents to check up the facts given at these websites listed below.
As for us, we have taken these preventive measures.
Wash hands properly and regularly following the procedures advised by health authority.
Use no-rinse Hand Sanitizer “Septi-Gel” on children’s hands before eating snacks.
Stop using common towels for drying hands and use disposable paper towels instead.
Children are banned from sharing food with each other and common plates or bowls are banned in serving biscuits.
Parents are advised to ensure that your child bring a handkerchief or small face towel for personal use daily.
